Common uses

This medication is typically used to help eliminate nasal secretions and reduce dryness. Its effects can be felt within a few minutes.

How to use this medication

This product is to be applied into the nostrils. To use:

  • blow your nose to clear your nostrils;
  • tilt your head backward slightly;
  • apply the prescribed dose into the nostrils;
  • wait 15 minutes after using the product before blowing your nose.
Following its use, wipe the applicator tip with a clean tissue or a smooth cloth.

This medication is typically used 3 times a day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Generally, it is used only as needed.

Possible side effects
