In recent years, a revolution has taken place in the marketplace in response to men’s skin care needs.
 
1 in 2 men uses skin care products such as:
  • moisturizers,
  • scrubs,
  • eye cream,
  • masks,
  • etc.

All manufacturers now offer men’s skin care lines, with some even featuring as many as 25 products in the same range.

Men and women have a different relationship with skin care items: while women are always on the lookout for what’s new, men tend to be loyal to a particular product.

FALSE. Men have oilier skin than women, because male hormones lead to a greater production of sebum (2 to 3 times greater).
When skin is more oily, it is more prone to acne and blackheads. But on a positive note, sebum also protects skin from external threats (frequent shaving, pollution, etc.)

TRUE. That’s why their skin ages later!
But while the onset of wrinkles does occur later in life, once they appear, they get deeper much more quickly than in women. That’s why men should take good care of their skin.

FALSE. Products for men are often more concentrated. They are also designed to better penetrate the skin, since men’s skin is thicker. Fragrances are also generally stronger. As for active ingredients, like those that fight aging, these are the same in both categories of products.
For men who tend to develop blemishes or ingrown hairs, here are a few recommendations:
  1. Use an exfoliating product to remove impurities.
